Lee Chong Wei
will be the top favorite to win the gold medal in the men’s Singles event in Badminton in Melbourne. He entered the semi final of the recently concluded 2006 All-England badminton where he lost to the eventual champion Lin Dan of China.

Chan Chong Ming and Koo Kien Keat are seen as an strong pair that combines well and they look set to make their mark at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne. In Manchester, Chong Ming partnered Chew Choon Eng to win the men’s doubles Gold.

Wong Pei Tty and Chin Eei Hui
will be out to defend the Women’s Doubles gold medal which was won by fellow Malaysians Ang Li Peng and Lim Pek Siah in Manchester four years ago. During that games, Pei Tty and Ee Hui managed a bronze. This pair recently made Malaysia proud when they won the doubles Gold medal at the 23 rd South East Asian Games in Manila, in December 2005.
